Fortnite Season 5 Week 6 is here, giving players some new challenges to complete. Here’s what you need to do to ‘Signal the Coral Buddies.’
The Coral Buddies are getting back into the mix in Fortnite Season 5 Week 6. This is a water-themed set of challenges, so these little guys fit right in.
“Signal the Coral Buddies” will, predictably, require you to visit one of the least populated POIs on the map: Coral Castle.
Here, you’ll find six Conch shells in one of the buildings. Once you toot them, the challenge will complete.
We’re writing this article before the challenges officially release, so we’re not 100% sure whether or not there will be a pattern to the toots. If the is one, we’ll make sure to update this piece when the challenges come to Fortnite.
You can find the exact location that you need to visit on the map, below. It’s the small hut in the north portion of the Coral Castle area.
You can take a look at our guide to the rest of the Season 5 Week 6 challenges here. With all of these complete, most players should be able to boost themselves past the halfway mark, if not further. Good luck!

Fortnite Season 5 Week 6 is here. Take a look at all of the challenges and how to complete them.
So far, Season 5 has offered some of the most XP we’ve seen since Chapter 2 began. When you combine all of the timed Legendary challenges, Epic challenges, the season-long Rare challenges, and the event challenges, players have a plethora of ways to max-out the Battle Pass.
This week brings a new list of challenges to complete, which should bring most players past the halfway mark, at the very least.
The challenges are relatively easy this week, with most of them focusing on fishing and the Motorboat. Here’s what you’ll need to do:
- Blow up Fishing Holes at Sharky Shell, Sweaty Sands, or Flopper Pond (3)
- Destroy Motorboats (3)
- Blow up Fishing Holes at Lazy Lake Island, Lake Canoe, and near Steamy Stacks (3)
- Catch Fish (7)
- Signal the Coral Buddies (1)
- Destroy Boats (7)
- Destroy Fishing Rod Barrels (7)
- Get Headshots (20/40/60/80/100)
The easiest way to blow up fishing holes is to use a Motorboat, as they have unlimited rockets. If you can’t find one, you can always use Grenades as a substitute.
Boats are located all across the map, but you can find them highly condensed around the shore. For this challenge, we suggest visiting Craggy Cliffs. There should be seven boats here for you to destroy.
The legendary challenge is an easy one when compared to last week’s, which required players to eliminate IO Guards. This time, you’ll need to hit 100 headshots over the course of the week.
This number can seem daunting, but a few games of Team Rumble will get it out of the way if you want to complete it as quickly as possible. This should be one that daily players can complete without much effort.
We’re getting a relatively easy batch this week, which will give players a chance to catch up on some of the challenges from past lists. As always, we’ll keep you posted if we hear more about upcoming Fortnite challenges.

The new batch of Fortnite challenges is here. Here’s how to complete them.
Fortnite Season 5 Week 5 is dominated by Gnomes. Just like past Fortnite seasons, the Gnomes are causing trouble across the Fortnite island and it’s our job to put a stop to it.
Three out of the seven challenges revolve around finding Gnomes, digging them up, and burying them. Here’s a list of all the challenges you need to complete.
- Find the buried Blue Coin in Retail Row
- Dig up Gnomes from Fort Crumpet and Pleasant Part (1)
- Search chests or ammo crates (15)
- Collect Gnomes from Fort Crumpet and Holly Hedges (1)
- Bury Gnomes in Pleasant Park or Retail Row (2)
- Deal damage within 10 seconds of resurfacing from sand (1000)
- Deal damage while crouched (500)
We’ll post a separate article on these Gnome quests, but the rest of the Fortnite Season 5 Week 5 quests are relatively easy.
Damaging players while crouched and dealing damage after jumping out of the sand can both be done in Team Rumble, as long as you get a favorable circle.
Searching chests and ammo boxes is a classic and easy quest as well. All we need to do is find the pesky Gnomes and we’ll be onto Week 6.
As for the Legendary quest, these will have us walking into surefire loss scenarios by forcing us to fight IO Guards. We’ll need to kill a total of 50 before completing the challenge.
As much as we love XP, this one might be a bit too much for us. IO Guards are notoriously tanky, accurate, and drop a minimal amount of loot. Will you be throwing a dozen or more of your games for some free XP? We might have to pass on this one.

Fortnite Season 5 Week 4 is here. Take a look at how to complete two of the more difficult challenges: collect tomato baskets and dance at Tomato Shrines.
This week, Fortnite has us completing some of the usual tasks for XP and Battle Pass tiers. Two of the more tedious tasks of the week have us searching for tomato baskets and Tomato Shrines.
Here’s where you need to go to complete both of these challenges. As you might expect, you won’t be going too far from Tomato Town.
Tomato basket locations
You can find the tomato baskets at two of the farms next to the remnants of Tomato Town. The first, and closest, has been in the game since Chapter 2 began.
You can find one basket of tomatos in the barn of The Orchard and a third at the farm to the south. Here’s a video from YouTuber j8hnb, showing the exact locations.
How to Ignite and Dance at a Tomato Shrine
The Tomato Shrines are incredibly easy to find once you know where to look. As you might suspect, one of them is located in Tomato Town, itself. You can find this on the second floor of the pizza shop
You can find another shrine at the very south of the map, next to Flush Factory. Here, you’ll find a Pizza truck sitting on the top of a mountain, which is also home to a Tomato Shrine.
With these challenges done, the rest of the Season 5 Week 4 challenges should be a complete breeze. You can take a look at them here.
Now, all that’s left is to cruise through the Battle Pass and grab those extra levels for some enlightened Season 5 cosmetics.
