Fortnite Season 5 Week 6 is here. Take a look at the best locations to destroy Motorboats of one of the weekly quests.
The challenges – or quests – in Fortnite Season 5 have returned to those we saw in the early days of Chapter 1. Sure, we had to dig up some gnomes last week, but most of the challenges only require you to play the game.
There is always an exception or two each week, with one of the challenges requiring players to destroy three Motorboats. This challenge seems relatively easy at first, but it will force you to stand out in the open, shooting or pickaxing Motorboats until they explode.
Since this challenge requires you to make yourself vulnerable, it’s best to land at a spot where Motorboats are plentiful. Here’s a map of all of the Motorboat spawns in Season 5.
As always, it’s best to go for challenges like this one in Team Rumble. Motorboats still spawn in this mode, and you can destroy three of them by landing at Dirty Docks, Craggy Cliffs, and Coral Castle.

A new hotfix has removed the direct payment option from iOS, suggesting that Apple could bring Fortnite back to the App Store.

iOS Fortnite players have been out of luck while Apple and Epic battle it out in court. This small update could point to a concession on Epic’s part.
Update 1/5/21 12:35 PM EST: An Epic employee has confirmed that this update was released by mistake.
Original article: It’s been a tough few months for the Fortnite mobile community with the ongoing litigation between Epic Games and Apple. For those who don’t know, Epic added a direct payment option to Fortnite, which was in direct violation of both the App Store and Google Play Store.
On Android devices, players could still download Fortnite through the Epic Games Launcher. Unfortunately, iOS players didn’t have this option, which was what led to the lawsuit between Epic and Apple.
On January 5, however, Epic released a small hotfix that focused on the iOS platform – specifically in the direct payment department.
Epic removed direct payment from iOS, which was the whole reason that Apple banned Fortnite from the App Store in the first place. With the legal battle ongoing, this doesn’t mean that Fortnite will come back to the App Store right away, but it’s a good first step.
Publicly, Epic took this opportunity to take a stand against what they saw as Apple’s monopoly over their platform. After removing direct payment, however, it seems like they might be relenting.
Again, we have no idea whether or not this means that Fortnite will come back to iOS platforms anytime soon. This could be a strategic move on the part of Epic Games to win favor in court.
This is, however, a good sign for iOS players. If Epic are willing to make this concession, Apple could decide to put Fortnite back in the App Store. Only time will tell.
Fortnite v15.20 is expected this week. Take a look at all of our predictions for the next Fortnite update.

The Fortnite v15.20 update is expected this week. Here’s what we’ll see when the update goes live.
The Fortnite Operation Snowdown event ends on January 5, which means we could see an update coming overnight.
We’re writing this prediction before any official announcement, but are confident that we’ll see v15.20 coming this week – if not tomorrow. Here’s what we expect to see included in that update.
Every Fortnite update is accompanied by a list of bug fixes, and v15.20 is no different. Here are all of the bugs listed in “Fixed in Next Game Update” on the Fortnite Community Issues Trello Board.
- Total Bars may rarely appear as 0 in a match.
- Rebooted players may see an already completed Bounty.
- Total Bars may rarely appear as 0 in a match.
- Michonne Outfit visual issue with Cape back blings.
Goodbye Operation Snowdown
Operation Snowdown ends on January 5, which is part of the reason that we assume a patch is incoming.
There isn’t much to add, here. Operation Snowdown will end, the Battle Bus will go back to normal, and the snow on the map will melt – possibly all at once or gradually over the next week.
Now, we’re getting into the pure speculation part of the update. It’s been a while since the last update, which means Epic could have some new content in store for us.
There have been a couple of Exotic weapons leaked, including a Run Gun SMG and a Freeze AR – a winter-themed Assault Rifle that gives opponents the effect of Chiller Traps.
It would seem reasonable for Epic to add one or both of these items in v15.20, but we won’t know for sure.
A New Bounty Hunter
It’s been a couple of weeks since Epic added a crossover skin as a part of the Bounty Hunter theme of the season.
We don’t know which hunter this would be, although there have been rumors about Predator joining the lineup.
If we had to guess, we’d say that data miners will find the next bounty hunter in the game files and will release this information to the public ahead of the Item Shop change.
We’ probably see some unpredictable additions to Fortnite when v15.20 goes live as well. For all of those, stay tuned for our breakdown, coverage, and more.
