You might have heard that today, February 14, is Valentine’s Day. It’s kind of hard to ignore… there are even giant hearts on the White House lawn! While many singles may be feeling lonely today—especially as we hit almost one full year of quarantine—plenty of happy couples are feeling the spirit of the holidays—especially celebrities.
Here’s how Hollywood stars and public figures are celebrating Valentine’s Day 2021.
Barack and Michelle Obama
“Happy Valentine’s Day to the three who never fail to make me smile,” former President Barack Obama wrote to his wife, Michelle, and their daughters, Sasha and Malia. “Your dazzling light makes everything brighter.”
“Happy Valentine’s Day, @barackobama,” the former first lady wrote on Twitter. “Life is always brighter when I’m by your side.”
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez
Lopez shared a massive bouquet of flowers she received from fiancé Rodriguez. “February is our special month… our anniversary month,” she wrote in the caption of an Instagram video. “We met again for the first time on February 1st… the first time we went out was two days later and since then there hasn’t been a day we haven’t been together or spoken… you keep me laughing…I love your wickedly funny sense of humor… and how you always try to make every room you enter a more joyful one… I love you and all you do for me and with me….you are my funny valentine.
Meanwhile, Rodriguez shared his own message to JLo on Instagram as well. “Thank you for taking me into your heart, and on the journey of a lifetime,” he wrote in the video caption. “Words can’t do justice to how you make me feel, and what you have meant to my life. Today we celebrate each other. ‘Just the two of us.’ But what I love most is that together, we have truly become one. Happy #ValentinesDay, @jlo! I love you. Today and forever.”
