Fortnite Season 5 has brought some high-powered NPC enemies to the game. Here are their spawn locations so you can steer clear or look for a battle.
Marauders may have been the least popular additions in all of Fortnite Chapter 2 so far. Their random spawn locations and proclivity to appear at the worst times led players to despise the music associated with their arrival.
These Marauders were replaced with Gorgers in Season 4, and now with IO Guards in Season 5 – both of which are an improvement on their original form.
The IO Guards that litter the game now are a mixed bag. They’re tanky and don’t offer much useful loot, but they have set spawn locations around the map. If you want to avoid them, you can.
These Guards spawn in elevator-like terminals that appear to transport them from another dimension. We’re drawn to this conclusion by the fact that these structures don’t always include IO Guards. We’ve seen chests, structures, and Chapter 1 relics come out of these terminals – so they don’t always mean danger.
Since the IO Guards spawn in pre-determined locations, they’re a lot easier to track than Gorgers or Marauders were. Fortnite Data Miner, Mang0e, did just that. Here’s a map of all 20 potential IO Guard spawn locations.
Whether or not you want to fight the IO Guards is up to you. Most of the time, the Tac ARs and Mini Shields that they drop aren’t worth the ammo, materials, and healing items you’ll need to kill all of them.
At least you can plan your games around these IO Guards, unlike the deadly NPC gangs of past Fortnite seasons.

The Fortnite Season 5 Week 2 Challenges are live. Here are all of the Pleasant Park, Holly Hedges, and Lazy Lake clue locations.
When Season 5 of Fortnite Chapter 2 first came out, we thought that Epic had abandoned the “grindy” challenges from recent seasons of Fortnite. One week later, we learned that this wasn’t the case.
This week, Fortnite has us searching for clues, planting evidence, and driving through Flaming Rings – just like we had to do last season.
One of the more difficult challenges of the week has players searching for clues in Pleasant Park, Holly Hedges, and Lazy Lake.
These clues come in the form of mailboxes – not the ones that we’ll be destroying for a separate challenge.
You can find one of these mailboxes in each of the three required locations. Here’s a video from HarryNinetyFour, showcasing where you can find each clue.
As always, it’s best to complete this challenge in a game of Team Rumble. With the right bus path and circle, you should be able to finish this one in a single match.
It seems like things are getting interesting this Fortnite season. We’ve been doing a lot of detective and sabotage work. It will be interesting to see if this has anything to do with the plot or if it’s just a way to keep us busy.

Fortnite Season 5 Week 2 is here. Take a look at how to complete one of the more difficult challenges of the week: plant evidence at Catty Corner or Flush Factory.
Fortnite Season 5 was released with a list of challenges that seemed to be a throwback to the simple days of “old Fortnite.” In week 2, the requirements returned to what they had been in the recent past – visiting specific locations to complete specific tasks.
One of these challenges has us planting evidence in Catty Corner or Flush Factory. This is a two-part challenge, in truth, as we’re framing someone for breaking the mailboxes that we’re destroying for another challenge.
The easiest place to complete this challenge is at Flush Factory, and the easiest mode to play is Team Rumble.
You can land at Flush Factory, place all of the evidence, and move onto the next challenges. All things considered, it’s a pretty easy one.
Here’s a video from HarryNinetyFour, showcasing all of the evidence locations at Flush Factory.
So far, the Season 5 challenges haven’t been as difficult to complete as some of the Season 4 challenges were. We haven’t seen anything resembling the difficulty of dealing 10,000 damage with Gatherer remains – the only challenge we didn’t finish by the end of the season.
Hopefully, these challenges are easy for you to complete, and you don’t spend too much time on them. Good luck!

Fortnite Season 5 is chugging along. Here’s how to complete all of the Week 2 challenges.
It looks like the first week of Season 5 challenges was too good to be true. Just when we thought that Epic had abandoned the specific, grindy challenges, they hit us with a list of new ones.
The Season 5 Week 2 challenges aren’t as bad as some of the ones we’ve had to complete in the past, but they aren’t as gameplay-focused as we thought they’d be.
Here are all of the weekly challenges for Season 5 Week 2:
- Destroy mailboxes (5)
- Plant the evidence in Catty Corner or Flush Factory (3)
- Find car parts (3)
- Deliver a vehicle from Steamy Stacks to Pleasant Park
- Drive through Flaming Rings (1)
- Find clues in Pleasant Park, Holly Hedges, and Lazy Lake (3)
- Destroy dog houses (3)
These weekly Epic challenges will be available for the rest of the season. As was the case last week, there are also some legendary challenges that will only last for one week.
These challenges are staged and have you dealing 1500, 3000, 4500, 6000, and 7500 with legendary weapons. You can complete this challenge in Team Rumble, but it’s not a guarantee – especially with the removal of Upgrade Stations in Season 5.
Driving through Flaming Rings is one of those challenges we thought Season 5 would be dropping. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. The good news is that you only have to do it one time this week.
We have a separate guide covering the clues you need to find at Pleasant Park, Holly Hedges, and Lazy Lake. If you’re lucky enough, you can even complete this challenge in the same game that you drive a car through a Flaming Ring.
The car parts you need to find are, luckily, all located at Stealthy Stronghold, so you can take care of this one in a single game, as well.
Season 5 has been easier on the challenges so far, but they aren’t as simple as we originally thought they’d be. Good luck out there!
